Sister trip 2015. Day 1 & 2

Friday, June 12, 2015

I've mentioned previously that my sister and I started a yearly tradition of doing mini getaways every year.  We've been to Vegas and NYC.  This year we paired up our sister trip with our cousin Sarah's wedding in Boston.

I'm crazy busy at work so this trip is a quick one but super fun. Also a new thing this year is that we are joined by her baby Claire. Typically this is a no kids thing but since Carol-Anne is Claire's source of food we broke the rules.

Yesterday our road trip started at 11 am. We made several stops for gas, shopping and to feed Claire.

There wasn't a lot of photo taking yesterday. We were in a car for 14 hours of and on lol.

We stayed on the outskirts of the city the first night in a ghetto hotel. We didn't care much as it was only from 1:30 am till 8am.

We got up early and drove by Harvard on our way to our good hotel.

We didn't see as much as we would have liked ( parking and driving around here is insane ) but we had a cute breakfast on a patio in Harvard square

After breakfast we drove to our hotel near Fenway and checked in and got a super cute welcome bag from Sarah and Sam

We decided to head on the subway and go see the public gardens and Beacon Hill.

and stopped at cheers of course but it was a zoo so looked else where for lunch.
Which was this place :

We've only so far seen back bay and beacon hill but Boston is such a pretty city with a church on every corner. And I love seing the rainbow flags or touches and how gay friendly this city is.

Later in the afternoon we met up with our Uncle Les and took us over the the ceremony and reception site with our cousins.  I'm in love and can't believe I get to shoot here tomorrow !

After this our plan was to head to Fenway to see the jays play the sox. But it had been a long day for the baby so we walked across from our hotel to Fenway. And said eff it and went and ordered dinner to take back to hotel. While we waited for our food I had a yummy drink lol

Our hotel is super pretty at night sorry for all the crappy cell phones pics. I'll be taking better photos tomorrow with a real  camera.
