Monday moments of gratitude- May 9th

Linking up with Shaunacey again this week!
Here are some things I'm grateful doe this last week.
1. First and foremost I'm thankful I have a house and healthy children and things. Unlike a lot of the residents of Fort Mac who fled but left their personal belongings. We couldn't stop watching the news it was so terrible. Donating to the Red Cross at every store I went into since last Wednesday feels like nothing. I hugged my kids tighter last week.
2. Speaking of kids. I'm thankful to be a Mom and to even get a Mother's Day. My kids spoiled me rotten. They served me coffee in bed with a new tray they got me from chapters. And Mady got me a really pretty tea set. Nick also got me a Starbucks water tumbler which I adore. And of course handmade gifts. Which are always the best. :
3. I'm grateful for my mom. Who like gave birth to me. And made me awesome. Thanks ma. She also put up with me and my sister while we were teenagers. And poor woman I made her a Nana at the age of 41. She's a great Nana and my kids love her to pieces.
4. Last but not least I'm grateful I get a birthday. I'm choosing health this year over everything else. I'm choosing to lower my blood pressure ( which is down by the way) and do what I can to control what I have control over. Too many others have not had the privilege of turning 36. And while I want to complain I won't. I'm lucky. So even when the weekend didn't go quite as planned it's fine. My family celebrated with me and my parents got me Adele tickets so there is always that lol!

Making the Most of Every Day
Chapters would be your Barnes and Noble I guess. Plus home decor and girly stuff. And it has chapters. :$
DeleteYou are a breath of fresh air! Your family is so sweet and you are a good mama so I am so glad that you got spoiled rotten! And by the way happy belated birthday lovely lady, next year we can celebrate in Toronto!
ReplyDeleteWe're practically birthday sisters! I agree, it's a lot to have your birthday and mother's day in the same weekend. I always feel like my family kind of gets off easy - they just combine everything and call it good :)! Love all the cards and gifts from your kiddos!
ReplyDeleteI love all the gifts!! Soo cute! And it was so sad to see all that devastation in fort Mac, your number one is so true... Being greatful for a home and family. These daily things that we take for granted sometimes. I would be devastated if we lost our home because of all our memories here.
ReplyDeleteObviously your girls share your creative spark. Those sweet gifts are true treasures. You are loved, mama.
