This last couple weeks just flew by. I can't believe May is here and we have such great weather.
This one I loved. I received several comments before 8 am that day so I consider that a success.

I'm sad that the spring challenge is all wrapped up but am excited that the Facebook group is still pretty active ! I'm trying to follow along with last years challenge right now but shopping from my closet only. It trying really hard not to buy anything right now until the summer challenge starts. Wish me luck.
Here's what I wore the last few days of the challenge.
Thursday.
Friday
Friday was my kind of day. I own several black tops ( I wear a ton of black to weddings. ) and I love my accessories from this day. People either love or hate my topshop necklace. I love it.
Saturday ( off script)
Grey and pink instead of white on white. Baby steps. Too much white on my rather large body isn't happening yet.
Sunday.
I wore floral leggings. Yes this really happend. And I LOVE THEM. I need more stat. And this was the final day :(
I really don't have words to describe how much I loved this challenge. I loved that I know more people in real life who were doing it and love that I found new friends because of it. Out of 5 challenges this was the first time I posted to the Facebook group every day and am very proud of my self. I feel silly because it's a materialistic thing, but it's really not. The whole look good/feel better approach really does work. I was completely a mess/frumpy before these challenges and never did my hair or make-up, and my now my kids say I'm on fleek so I'll take that as a compliment:)

Friday right after work I met my sister at the park and nevaeh and lily played. Oh and Claire smiled at her aunty :)
Saturday was spent running around doing errands in the morning. Dry cleaners, garden centre etc and then we took the kids to see the avengers at the drive in. Yay for drive in weather !
Sunday morning Nick took the kids out for the day as I had to clean and work. So nice to have the house to myself. I may or may not have watched 4 episodes of Friday night lights.
All in all a great weekend. Can't wait for next weekend! Birthday and Mother's Day celebrations ! Woot!

When I found out what the first topic was I had some great ideas instantly. Of course me being me, I leave everything till last minute. So week 1 and I'm already into my first blog fail.
So pretend for a minute that I had purchased this umbrella and took some really creative photos with it.
This is the Kate spade umbrella from Chapters. I've been obsessed with it for months. My birthday is next Wednesday so if someone can tell Nick to buy it for me that would be swell.

When the flower print skirt made an apperance on the spring style challenge I was surprised. For some reason I didn't realize what a trend floral was. Apparently I'm not cool. Now that I've gotten over the whole grandma stigma of it all, I'm loving it. Along with my new skirt, I have a few new floral scarfs, floral shirt, floral dex flex flats and just went out on a limb and got these leggings....

We're almost at the end of the challenge. I'll be so sad when it ends. But my sister and I are doing to do the 2014 spring challenge ( you can sign up for free here ) starting Monday.
