My summer style.

This week in blogging has been an epic fail for me. I didn't blog at all Wednesay to re cap our style challenge because the night before after my super awesome time at Magic Mike my 2nd child was in hospital about to get stitches from stepping on glass.
Needless to say my evening of blog writing was cut short.
I just had a Facebook notification that Shaunacey was looking for the linky code for tomorrow's blog post and I said a bunch of swear words. This week has been a gong show to say the least.
But enough about how I suck. Let's talk about summer style.
As a plus size lady who's been plus size a while I'll be honest and say I've never really had a summer style. I would cover up all year long and never wear shorts and just last year started with maxi dresses. They seem to be my thing.
Maxis make me feel covered up ( not that I have to I've learned there is no reason to cover up just because in not skinny) but also make me feel feminine. Bonus: when I can twirl.
Other staples:
My birks. I need to wear them less. But they are just too damn comfy.
Colours shorts. Who knew ?? These are my faves from old navy.
Also. I'm digging my floppy hat. I'm usually a fedora girl but love this one I licked up at forever 21 in Buffalo. It's half Panama hat and half floppy hat. I love it.
What's your summer style !? I'd love to hear in the comments :)

I love your summer style!!! Maxis are seriously the best thing ever invented... along with the birks, which I'm also wearing daily... I also kinda feel like I need the black ones you pictured here (Brent disagrees, but he won't need to know!).
ReplyDeleteDouble that yay for birks! I wish I could wear floppy hats, but I haven't found one that fits my huge head. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteYou make me laugh. Darn life keeps getting in the way of my blogging. But if I didn't have a life, there wouldn't be a whole lot to say. Love your maxis and hat. I need to get braver about wearing both.
ReplyDeleteYay for maxi dresses - my favorite too! I'm on the fence with the birkenstocks - they have a certain reputation here in Seattle :)! But I love Deena's white ones so I may change my mind. Hope your kiddos foot is better!
ReplyDeleteI'm super jealous of your birks. I tried a few and my feet just don't line up with the footbed :(
ReplyDeleteMaxis and birchs! Between you and Deena, I'm beginning to think invest in a pair birchs would be a good idea.
ReplyDeleteEeeeekkk..hope your daughter is doing better!!! If birks had a strap in the back, I might need to get a pair! And you look fabulous in all your maxis...great go-to!!
ReplyDeleteOhhh...and I totally LOVE your hat. I just got one online...waiting for it! Hope it looks as good on my as it does on you!!
