Today was a PA Day. I didn’t realize this until Monday. At which point was too late for me to book off for Friday (and it’s my crazy busy season at work so couldn’t anyways). So Nick took off the day to spend with the girls.

Mady had a friend sleepover. So he had 5 girls in the house.

They got up early and walked to the grocery store. I got a play by play on my phone, and he texted me photos.

He came home and made cake with them, played with the bubble machine and watched a movie with them until their dad came to get them. By the time I got home from work, Nick and Nevaeh were fast asleep on the couch. Too much walking I guess.

Tonight I had a maternity shoot, with Kristen and Kevin, I shot their wedding in the winter, and they are expecting a baby boy.

I loved these shots, and I haven’t blogged them yet on the millerellis site, but will next week, but here’s a peek.

Georgian Day!!!

Today was fab. Staff appreciation day all day. All morning spent in the Georgian Theatre listening to our MC Jamie Hall, and then our keynote speaker Paul Huschilt. Who was beyond hilarious with his Seven Humour Habits for Workplace Wellness. I laughed till I cried. It was fantastic.

Then we got to break out into mini seminars. I took hip hop. Yes me. Danced. hell,, I have the ghetto booty for it no? lol.

I learned to pop and lock. and i looked fantastic doing it.

After work (if you can call it work today), we went back to my moms swimming, because, well it was nice again.

Came home and thought my garden looked pretty so took some photos.

Hotter than yesterday. This weather is fantastic.

Bringing Nevaeh into the pool for the first time this year, she freaked out. Insisted on going in like this

Safety first?

I took her out of the donut ring thing, and she screamed like I was killing her. About 5 minutes later she was fine, and didn’t want to swim with me, but with her sisters.

Of course the other girls are like fish so she wants to be just like them.

i think she just slapped mimi in the face here lol

It was hot today. And the air conditioning at the kids school wasn’t working so after I picked up the kids from school, mimi said “mom I’m so hot, I can’t even stand to wait for my sisters”

so this is how we waited for them. I then decided it was a good idea to grab slushes before going home. And made a mental note to call my mom and let her know we were coming Tuesday for a swim – the pool better be open!

Sunday.

Yay for days off. We slept in a bit, girls got up and fed themselves cereal which bought us like half an hour. We laid in bed trying to decide how to spend the day. I had the ipad on my nightstand so we googled ideas. How I love my ipad.

Then we saw it was calling for rain the entire day. And did look pretty dark out. So we called the kids into our room and had a family meeting. Movies, or shopping I said. Surprisingly they all said shopping. They badly need new summer clothes.

So we decided on Vaughn Mills, because we thought we could take them go carting as well.

That mall is too big for its own good, and it was roasty as hell. Shopping for kids of different ages is not fun. When were were in childrens place, mady was antsy. When we were areopostale or lulu, then the girls were bored. Or hungry. Or tired. Or I don’t want to shop anymore.

We didn’t go go-carting. We left. Lol. It was too much. So we left to go and eat. That turned out to be a disaster as well. Who dares give Madison a kids menu?

Bah.

So by this time we’d had enough fun day. We go home, and I decide to take my 15 loads of laundry I’ve not washed and go to the laundry mat with my middle two girls.

It was quite the event.

this is 1/4 the way through folding. it’s so very nice to be caught up now.
