Style Perspectives - Shades of Pink
Wednesday, March 09, 2016
We're into our second week of our style series over at The Blended Blog! Last week was a success! We had lots of people link up and post their blog and tag on Instagram! Here's a recap of all of our looks from last week. Also - we have a give-a-way - so make sure to check the bottom of this post:)
This weeks prompt is Shades of Pink!
Here is my plus size perspective.
I have a ton of pink and didn't know where to start, but I've being eyeing these pink Pixie pants from Old Navy so it gave me the excuse to buy them. Oh and hey - this cute peplum tank has pink in it too, so I had to buy that as well. Funny how that worked out. I paired it with my Military Jacket from Torrid.
After my lame attempts at photos last week with my iPhone (taken by my 7 year old daughter) I was crazy embarrassed. My 16 year old is now my official outfit photographer as she has a Nikon now that she's started on the whole photography thing (so proud) so these are much better.
Confession: I still cringe at full body shots and am so badly wanting to liquify my entire body in photoshop to make myself look half the size but that won't do anyone any good. I'm pushing myself out of my comfort zone because I've realized that even though I'm overweight doesn't mean I can't dress cool. I don't have to wear shapeless frumpy clothing. I can dress trendy, and wear bright colours and rock it.
So that's me. Adding sprinkles to my a$$ full of jelly if you will.
You should totally check out all of the other ladies below and link up as well! This has become so fun (though I'm TERRIFIED of next week's White Jeans look - yikes!)
14 bloggers each picked a look that defined their personal style.
The featured blogger on the Blended Blog showcases her signature style (the prompt for that day) and then the other bloggers (on their personal blogs) show how they interpret it.
Make sure you stop by the Blended Blog to see the featured lady.
Please link up on the Blended Blog to show us how you would wear the prompt!

ReplyDeleteYou are AMAZING and I love your style. I'm just loving how real everyone is being lately and even though it involves putting yourself out there, it's freaking awesome.
You look stunning and I almost bought that shirt the other day but didn't know how to wear it... I happen to have pink pants AND a military jacket... so I'll probably need to go back and get it :)

DeleteAre you serious? You are GORG. I LOVE your hourglass figure. Pin-up girl, much? I am really loving that green jacket and neutral flats. The way you've paired them with your vibrant colours? More selfies. Stat. Once I figure out pinterest, I'm pinning this. FYI.
ReplyDeleteHahah. The hourglass figure is a photographers trick! Total fake, I faked a waist with my hands:) But I'm glad it looks like I have one! I need to figure out pinterest too, or use it more consistently.
DeleteFab pink pants + I really love the top and the subtle pink in it. Perfect combo with the military jacket.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carrie!

DeleteDitto what all of our mutual friends said above, you are beautiful. You have a great shape and wear that peplum top like a rock star. Love the baby pink stripes in the top with the bolder color in the pants. Can't believe you have snow still, bless your heart. Surely spring is around the corner. Thanks so much for joining up with us and letting us get to see YOU! Look forward to seeing you more in the future!
