Family day & Being grateful.

Monday, February 15, 2016

I've been following Shaunacey on her Monday gratitude posts and love them. It really is important to reflect on what you are grateful for especially when life gets busy. For me I tend to just do - and weeks and months fly by and while I'm busy nothing ever gets done and I've spent zero quality time with anyone and haven't reflected on it. So I love that every week Shaunacey and other ladies are pausing and counting their blessings. So this week I'm linking up with her, you should check her out HERE

So here I go: ( in no particular order )

1) tuck in / bed time with my girls. The two little ones are still young enough for bed time routine and I know I don't have much time left with Mimi. I love the snuggles and the excuses to stay up later.

2) my valentine. I saw a meme the other day and I thought that I need it framed.
Before some one points out nick and I aren't married, I know. But might as well be after 10 years. And I've been married before so I know the statement above is true. Marriage is hard work. Relationships are hard work. And people tend not to show the ugly on social media/ online but we all know it happens. And I thank Nick for loving me even when he doesn't like me. You know on my bad days. When there isn't enough wine or coffee.

3) Indigo. - random but I'm grateful for the middle section of indigo / chapters for the valentines table that nick raided for Valentine's Day. Score ! I love all of my presents!

The oh la la thing is a clutch and I love it.

4) Teenagers. I'm greatful to my two teenagers for keeping me cool. Or I think I am at least. They show me the good music. Teaching me the ways of social media. Telling me what's cool to wear. And all of their slang. I'm thankful for dance parties in the car and that we all hate nicks music and ban him from radio station choices. They can also mind their sisters when I need to run to the store, and this makes life much easier (Grocery shopping with 4 kids, is basically my version of hell. THE WORST). So now I go alone, and it's fantastic.

What are you grateful for this week ?

  3. Love this, and grocery shopping alone is amazing! And I did a marriage series (still might add to it) but one of the topics was Love is a Choice...just like this graphic, going to have to steal it :) Sometimes when Mr. and I are arguing or something to lighten the mood a bit we'll say, I'm choosing to love you right now, hehe.

    1. It's a fairly new holiday! Within the last 10 years or so. It breaks up the winter that's for sure.
