Technically it hasn't been a week yet. Just 3 days and man on man I've had so much fun. If you follow me on Instagram you've seen a few sneak peeks of the outfits I've been wearing so far. This style challenge for me has been the most fun yet. So many ladies joined! Including people I know which makes it so much more fun. If you want to make better shopping choices, have a solid wardrobe of basic and trendy pieces with the added benefit of not thinking about what you have to wear for 21 days - this challenge is for you!

I'm on a mission. To find the perfect shoe for photographing weddings in all summer. If you know me, or if I photographed your wedding last year you'll remember me wearing my Birks. ALL SUMMER LONG. While super comfy on my feet, they aren't exactly the prettiest of shoes.

Tanya and I have both torn through many of shoes trying to find something that doesn't kill our feet after 10+ hours. I know some women wear heels all day but I can't imagine what my poor feet would feel like! Ouch.

I'm looking for something stylish, but comfortable, and preferably something with colour. I typically wear black on the wedding day. Mainly as black is practical when you're laying on the ground trying to get a shot. So I'm thinking coloured shoes would add a pop of fun, and I can style it with pretty jewellery.

So in my search I've found Tieks a few weeks ago and I'm dying. They are amazing and so colourful. One problem. I want them all! And if they were payless shoes I would own them all, but they are a bit pricey so only one pair is all I have in my budget at the moment.  I need help to figure out what I should get.

These are my favourites!

(and I may get the Leopard Print ones in the fall)

Help!

I thought since I wasn't shooting a ton at the moment, I'd have tons of time to blog.

Nope.

The last week was a rather busy one, which is typical in my home with so many children. Last week was the same as any other week, except one of my besties Ashlee had her baby!! So happy for her and Lyss (if you know me personally you'll know I photographed them a lot, you can see them here and wedding here) Their beautiful baby boy arrived Thursday, so basically productivity after that was nil. Which is fine, who needs to be productive on Fridays anyways? Oh, but I did buy cute shoes for the spring challenge Friday. Maybe that counts? (....and 3 pairs at that!)

I wore this shoe shopping and thought it was adorable.

Saturday I had a Maternity Session down town, I wore this, while shooting this:

I love long weekends. Especially ones where I'm not working! I have nothing to edit (all caught up for the first time in oh, ever!) so spent it with family...oh and cleaning.

Yesterday I was getting ready, and because it felt like a Friday I threw on jeans. I wanted to feel spring like because it's easter weekend, so I wore a pink shirt, and super cute spring scarf I got last year in Buffalo somewhere.

After getting dressed I find Nevaeh putting together her outfit for the day and looking for her necklace. This kid is 6 and has a collection of statement necklaces already. I'm not kidding (check out her #whatnevwears on instagram or on the sidebar of my blog - she's hilarious).

I can't remember the last time I wore a skirt, never mind a maxi skirt. I still haven't dug out the full length mirror, but here's a super awkward pic. Skirt courtosy of Target closing down in Canada. $10 of awesomeness. Black T and Jean Jacket are Old Navy and my fun gold necklace is from Forever 21. Several compliments today - and not even a style challenge day!

After work we had dinner at my sisters, and Madison played with Claire (my niece) the entire time. She loves her. It's pretty cute. Again, no judging the cell photos.
