Adventures in Wonderland ....Or Barrie. Whatever.

I'm not sure about the rest of the moms out there, but I've got a big fat red circle on my calendar around September 8th.
It's the most wonderful time of the year
amen
My kids are bored and driving me crazy. I've tried my best to keep up with them, or keep them busy....but sometimes life (and work) get in the way, but that's what bikes and neighbourhood kids are for right? nah. Bored of that too.
So I had planned on getting up early and hitting the beach with the girls. I woke up and it was FREEZING. And it was rainy. Yucky.
It did stop raining, but was still chilly so we went exploring downtown Barrie.
Mimi was excited
until she got in trouble for running away from me (anyone else's kids do that?!!)
Our plan was to hit the Library but instead we went to...
mostly because I liked the half naked man out front pondering life...
I haven't been to the MacLaren Art Centre since I was in grade 9 (do the math) when it used to be in that old little house. It's since moved, and I LOVE the building and the inside. I have to go again without kids so I can spend more time..
as you can see lots of open space for little feet to run around
I loved the arched doorways
ahem my tribute to Ferris Bueller
Mimi spoted the lake once we left and wanted to go to the park, so off we went...
Where Madison played little mother to Nevaeh..
And that's how I spent yesterday morning.....the afternoon, well, that's a WHOLE other post....
