Monday moment of Gratitude

Monday, February 29, 2016

Last week I forgot to post this ( I had it drafted) I'm such a terrible blogger! LOL So this is a combination of two weeks of being grateful:) Linking up with Shaunacey  today!

Hugs from kids. – When you’re sad, nothing like cuddling your children.

Wine – It’s like a hug for your insides

My daddy – Who drove me to Toronto super early Friday for specialist appointments. We got there so early, we had breakfast together. It was nice. He doesn't do photos so here is a pretty photo of my crap on the table at the hospital instead. Long story short, I had signed up to get gastric bi-pass over a year ago, and had to come for some final appointments before getting a surgery date. While in the middle of my second appointment they had suggested I take the Medical (not surgery route) because of the high risks involved, So I'm also thankful for the team at the Bariatric centre at Humber River Hospital because dying really isn't on my agenda for this year, and I'm really looking forward to this new program starting next month. I will blog my journey.

My Mommy  - who came shopping with me, funeral outfits are not super fun shopping trips. ( no photo again )

Early morning breakfast dates – I had to work most of Saturday, and Nick worked late Friday – so he got me up early so we could at least see each other at breakfast.

Make-up – I’m breaking out like a teenager.  Seriously – here’s my before/after from Saturday morning make-up. UGH

Pretty Sunsets - it's staying lighter out longer, and my photographer self is loving more daylight.

What have you been grateful for this week?

  2. LOL, wine being a hug from the insides, so true! Man funeral dress shopping :( Glad that you had people in your life to support you. And wow make-up does wonders! Good luck with the weight loss, both of my parents and my MIL had the surgery and all are loving the results. Glad you have a different route to take!
